Ugly Christmas Sweater Party season is upon us. To make sure you look your absolute best while rocking the tacky, I’ve got a down and dirty hack that will add an extra level of obnoxiousness to your ensemble. And – best of all, you can pull this off in two minutes for under $2.
Here’s what we need:
Two lightweight ornaments. I found several options at Dollar Tree that are sold in pairs which make each one only 50¢. So I grabbed the Sequined Bulbs, Wire Christmas Trees, and the Glittered Bells. (Yes, I got a bit carried away.)

Next, I stopped at Hobby Lobby and picked up a 50 piece package of short fish hook ear wires. These were on sale for $1.99, making each ear wire about 4¢. As an alternative, you could swipe a pair from an old set of earrings, or you could string the ornament onto regular hoop earrings.
Lastly, we need small pincers such as jewelry pliers or similar.

Cut the string hanger off the ornament. Then, open the end of the ear wire hook with your pliers and slide the ornament onto the hook. Close to secure. Repeat for the other earring.

And, you’re done!
In under two minutes and less than $2, you now have some super ugly Christmas earrings to wear with your tacky sweater.
This project is so fast. It will take you longer to wrestle the ornaments and hooks out of their packaging than it will to assemble your jingle-jangle bling.
